John Logie Baird was the first to demonstrate television in 1923. He made his home in Sydenham together with his laboratory. JLB built the world's first TV studios under Crystal Palace. He used the Water Towers as transmitters over London. The Palace and Towers were destroyed but TV continues to broadcast from the same spot.

The Crystal Palace transmitter covers only SE England. Sydenham TV transmits to the world ... Enjoy!
